My mother and father ran the Kerfield from at least 1948 until 1951. Their names were Alfred William Thomas Jones and Joyce Kathleen Jones. On the back of the photographs it states it is "The ladies from the Kerkfield outing to Southend. 1948."

My mum the glamorous lady in the middle of front row!!
My parents moved to run an off-licence in Barnet in 1951. The story goes they put me outside in the pram for air and contents of pram were taken but I was left......Barnet was a quieter place to move to. **
My Grandparents ( George Richard Best )had two pubs in south London, I think near the Camberwell area,
one was the White Hart and the other was the Curfield Arms, Camberwell. ***
His Son, George Thomas Best had the George in St Georges Way, and then moved to the Stirling Castle, Church Street, Camberwell.I visited him there in the 1950's and he left late 50's early 60's.***
It is highly likely he was at the Bradley Arms, at179 Wandsworth roadfor a number of years, between these pubs?
My father Stanley Victor Best, ( Youngest son of George Senior, and brother of George Junior)had the Marquis of Lorne, Beckway Street, off East Lanebefore moving out the to Belvedere Hotel, Belvedere, Erith, Kent. ***
