On the National Archives website is a reference to the Bull [Inn] in Leadenhall Street, London, in 1689. The plaintiff was Thomas Robinson. The defendants were David Owen, Joseph Bosley and Samuel Wallin. The document type is described as "bill, three answers." Joseph may have been the father of Joseph Bosely (born at Stepney), a clockmaker who died in 1736 or 1737, and the grandfather of Charles Bosley who became a famous clockmaker. Charles (born c. 1711 at Stepney) may have been the father or brother of another Joseph Bosley, a watchmaker of Leadenhall Street, City of London, who died about 1770. *
