This is named in the 1851 and 1861 census returns, and is listed in the directories as being on Greyhound Lane, though in the census returns as Greyhound Square (which until being demolished in the 1930s was located just behind where the Greyhound pub is, at the top of Greyhound Lane). It is presumably separate from the Railway Tavern at the other end of Greyhound Lane (by Streatham Common station). *
